Hi there! I'm Emily Baucom

I'm a graphic designer from North Carolina located near the Raleigh area. I earned a Bachelor's degree in graphic design from East Carolina University (2020), and I've used Adobe products for over 15 years, since I was a kid! My parents were both graphic designers. I've been a graphic designer for about 4 years now, and I'm looking for a new opportunity to share my skills and creativity. I am both a team-player and a self-starter. I'm known to be the one who keeps the peace and seeks resolution. I have an open mind and I'm eager to learn new things, and I work quickly while reducing costs and maximizing my efficiency on each project.

I can rapidly brainstorm and execute custom, high-quality and detail oriented illustrations, branding and logos, graphic design, digital graphics, image retouching and edits, web designs, motion graphics, video editing, audio files, advertisements, print production, social media imagery, email graphics, apparel designs, flyers, brochures, wedding invitations, holiday cards, and much more!

My availability for an interview is weekdays between 9am and 5pm most days. I ask that you email to schedule the phone/video interview, and that we have 2 or 3 days beforehand to prepare for the call. No one-way interviews please. I look forward to hearing from you!

Photography is one of the most fun kinds of art creation. I love seeing things from a new angle, and so I mostly do macro photography. I'm highly skilled in editing and retouching AI Generated imagery, photography, portraits, etc.

Illustration and art are my favorite kind of release. I can create whatever I like, and I love using Adobe Photoshop for my illustrations, and experimenting with new custom brushes.

What kind of design services do you offer?

I offer a range of design services including but not limited to branding and logos, graphic design, high-quality and detail oriented illustrations, digital graphics, image retouching and edits, web design, motion graphics, video editing, audio files, advertisements, print production, social media imagery, email graphics, apparel designs, flyers, brochures, wedding invitations, holiday cards, and much more!

What is your design process?

My design process begins with a consultation to understand your needs and goals. I then create a design concept and refine it until it meets your satisfaction. Once approved, I implement the design and provide ongoing support. Both the final image and its raw files will be delivered upon payment completion.

What is your experience in the design industry?

I have 10 years of experience as a graphic designer and have worked with clients on various projects. I have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from East Carolina University and I have been freelancing for the past 4 years now. I am looking for a more stable job with a salary, so if you have any design openings you need filled, please contact me for an interview.

What is your pricing?

Each project has a mandatory upfront $30 fee to combat scammers. This fee will go toward your final payment. Any excess payment will be refunded.

I charge $30 an hour (rounded to the nearest half hour), unless a flat fee is established.

Can I schedule a virtual interview?

Yes, please contact me via email (emilybaucom@outlook.com) at least a few days before a phone interview (+1 919-903-3974), if a phone call is desired. I ask that all interviews to be two-way. I'd like to get to know who it is that I'm working for.

I do not do interviews via Skype.

What is your turnaround time?

I tend to work quickly once communication is established. I work virtually, utilizing emails and texts. Usually my turnaround time for a request/revision is around one day.
